Aapay Daykhi Dikhaaidaa Chhia Darasani Bhaykhai |

God visualises and makes men see the guises and philosophies of six Schools (in this mirror).

ਜੇਹਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਰਿ ਭਾਲਿਦਾ ਤੇਵੇਹੈ ਲੇਖੈ।

Jayhaa Moohu Kari Bhaalidaa Tayvayhai Laykhai |

Man is reflected (in the mirror) in exactly the same way as is his propensity.

ਹਸਦੇ ਹਸਦਾ ਦੇਖੀਐ ਸੋ ਰੂਪ ਸਰੇਖੈ।

Hasaday Hasadaa Daykheeai So Roop Saraykhai |

The laughing person finds a laughing form in it.

ਰੋਦੇ ਦਿਸੈ ਰੋਵਦਾ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਖ ਨਿਮੇਖੈ।

Rodai Disai Rovadaa Hoay Nimakh Nimaykhai |

Whereas the wailing person finds himself (as well as everybody) there in the weeping posture. Same is the case of a clever person.

ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਸਤਿਸੰਗਿ ਵਿਸੇਖੈ ॥੧॥

Aapay Aapi Varatadaa Satisangi Visaykhai ||1 ||

The Lord Himself is prevading this world-mirror but He is specifically preceivable in and through the holy congregation.
