By churning curd one finds butter over the butter milk.

ਮਖਣੁ ਤਾਇ ਅਉਟਾਇਕੈ ਘਿਉ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕਰਣਾ।

Makhanu Taai Autaai Kai Ghiu Niramal Karana |

The butter boiled properly is transformed into ghee – clarified butter.

ਹੋਮ ਜਗ ਨਈਵੇਦ ਕਰਿ ਸਭ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਰਣਾ।

Hom Jag Naeevayd Kari Sabh Kaaraj Sarana |

Then that ghee is used as burnt offering and him yajn(rituals) and other oblation are performed.
