ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਾਉ ਤਿਨ ਨਾਹਿ ਭਉ ਮੁਚੁ ਭਉ ਅਗੈ ਨਿਭਵਿਆਹਾ।

Jinhaan Bhaau Tin Naahi Bhau Muchu Bhau Agai Nibhaviaahaa |

They are not scared of anybody who have cherished the love of the Lord and those who are devoid of the fear of Lord remain scared in the court of Lord.

ਅਗਿ ਤਤੀ ਜਲ ਸੀਅਲਾ ਨਿਵ ਚਲੈ ਸਿਰੁ ਕਰੈ ਉਤਾਹਾ।

Since it keeps its head high, the fire is hot and because the water flows downwards, it is cold.

Being full of fruits, the mango tree bends down in humility but the castor tree being full of bitter fruits never bows in humility.

ਮਨੁ ਪੰਖੇਰੂ ਧਾਵਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਜਾਇ ਫਲ ਖਾਹਾ।

Manu Pankhayroo Dhaavadaa Sangi Subhaai Jaai Fal Khaahaa |

The mind-bird keeps flying and according to its nature picks up the fruits.

ਧਰਿ ਤਾਰਾਜੂ ਤੋਲੀਐ ਹਉਲਾ ਭਾਰਾ ਤੋਲੁ ਤੁਲਾਹਾ।

Dhari Taaraajoo Toleeai Haulaa Bhaaraa Tolu Tulaahaa |

On the scale of justice, the light and the heavy are weighed (and good and bad are differentiated).

ਜਿਣਿ ਹਾਰੈ ਹਾਰੈ ਜਿਣੈ ਪੈਰਾ ਉਤੇ ਸੀਸੁ ਧਰਾਹਾ।

Jini Haarai Haarai Jinai Pairaa Utay Seesu Dharaahaa |

He who looks to be winning here loses in the court of the Lord and likewise the loser here wins there.

ਪੈਰੀ ਪੈ ਜਗ ਪੈਰੀ ਪਾਹਾ ॥੯॥

Pairee Pai Jag Pairee Paahaa ||9 ||

All bow at his feet. The individual first falls at the feet (of Guru) and then he makes all to fall at his feet.
