ਦਮ ਬਦਮ ਦਰ ਜ਼ਿਕਰਿ ਮੌਲਾ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਅੰਦ

Dama badama dara zikari moulā hāzara aańada

They are always alert and prepared for the remembrance of Akaalpurakh;

ਖ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੋ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਰਾ ਨਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਅੰਦ ॥ ੧੧੪ ॥

Kẖẖésẖa manazūro kẖẖudā rā nāzira aańada ] 114 ]

They are acceptable to Him and they are His observers, on-lookers and spectators. (114)

ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦਿ ਕਾਮਿਲ ਹਮਾਣ ਬਾਣਸ਼ਦ ਹਮਾਣ

Murasẖadi kāmila hamāna bānasẖada hamāna

A perfect Satguru is the one and the only one,

ਕਜ਼ ਕਲਾਮਸ਼ ਬੂਇ ਹੱਕ ਆਦਿ ਅਯਾਣ ॥ ੧੧੫ ॥

Kaza kalāmasẖa būei ha¤ka aādi ayāna ] 115 ]

Whose conversation and Gurbaanee emits the Divine fragrance. (115)

ਹਰ ਕਿ ਆਇਦ ਪੇਸ਼ਿ ਏਸ਼ਾਣ ਜ਼ੱਰਾ ਵਾਰ

Hara ki aāeida pésẖi eésẖāna za¤rā vāra

Anyone who comes in front of such persons (Perfect Gurus) in humility like a dust particle,

ਜ਼ੂਦ ਗਰਦਦ ਹਮਚੂ ਮਿਹਰਿ ਨੂਰ ਬਾਰ ॥ ੧੧੬ ॥

Zūda garadada hamachū mihari nūra bāra ] 116 ]

He, soon, becomes capable to shower radiance like that of sun. (116)

ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਈਨਸਤ ਬੇ ਚੁਨੋ ਚਿਰਾ

Ziańadagī eīnasata bé chuno chirā

That life is worth living that, without any delay or excuses,

ਬਿਗੁਜ਼ਰਦ ਈਣ ਉਮਰ ਦਰ ਯਾਦਿ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ॥ ੧੧੭ ॥

Biguzarada eīna aumara dara yādi kẖẖudā ] 117 ]

Is spent in the memory of the Providence in this lifetime. (117)

ਖ਼ੁਦ-ਪ੍ਰਸਤੀ ਕਾਰਿ ਨਾਦਾਣ ਆਮਦਾ

Kẖẖuda-parasatī kāri nādāna aāmadā

To indulge in self-propaganda is the work of stupid people;

ਹੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਤੀ ਜ਼ਾਤਿ ਈਮਾਣ ਆਮਦਾ ॥ ੧੧੮ ॥

Ha¤ka parasatī zāti eīmāna aāmadā ] 118 ]

While to get engaged in meditation is the characteristic of the faithful. (118)

ਹਰ ਦਮੇ ਗ਼ਫਲਤ ਬਵਦ ਮਰਗਿ ਅਜ਼ੀਮ

Hara damé gapẖalata bavada maragi azīma

Negligence of every moment of not remembering Him is like a huge death;

ਹੱਕ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਦਾਰਦ ਜ਼ਿ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨਿ ਰਜ਼ੀਮ ॥ ੧੧੯ ॥

Ha¤ka nigāha dārada zi sẖaitāni razīma ] 119 ]

May God, with His eye, save us from the Satan of Hell. (119)

ਆਣ ਕਿ ਰੂਜ਼ੋ ਸ਼ਬ ਬ-ਯਾਦਸ਼ ਮੁਬਤਲਾ-ਸਤ

Aāna ki rūzo sẖaba ba-yādasẖa mubatalā-sata

Anyone who is (constantly) imbued in remembering Him day and night,

ਈਣ ਮਤਾਅ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੁਕਾਨਿ ਔਲੀਆ-ਸਤ ॥ ੧੨੦ ॥

Eīna matāa aańadara dukāni aoulīaā-sata ] 120 ]

(Knows very well that) This wealth, the memory of Akaalpurakh, is available only at the store (congregation) of saintly persons. (120)

ਕਿਹਤਰੀਨਿ ਬੰਦਾਇ ਦਰਗਾਹਿ ਸ਼ਾਣ

Kihatarīni baańadāei daragāhi sẖāna

Even the lowest person in their court

ਬਿਹਤਰ ਅਸਤ ਅਜ਼ ਮਿਹਤਰਾਨਿ ਈਣ ਜਹਾਣ ॥ ੧੨੧ ॥

Bihatara asata aza mihatarāni eīna jahāna ] 121 ]

Is superior than the so called most respectable stalwarts of this world. (121)

ਬਸ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ਼ਾਣ ਕੂ ਫ਼ਿਦਾਇ ਰਾਹਿ ਸ਼ਾਣ

Basa bazuragāna kū faidāei rāhi sẖāna

Many wise and experienced persons are enamored and are prepared to make sacrifices on their paths,

ਸੁਰਮਾਇ ਚਸ਼ਮਮ ਜ਼ਿ ਖ਼ਾਕਿ ਰਾਹਿ ਸ਼ਾਣ ॥ ੧੨੨ ॥

Suramāei chasẖamama zi kẖẖāki rāhi sẖāna ] 122 ]

And, the dust of their paths is like a collyrium for my eyes. (122)

ਹਮਚੁਨੀਣ ਪਿੰਦਾਰ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਰਾ ਐ ਅਜ਼ੀਜ਼

Hamachunīna piańadāra kẖẖuda rā aai azīza

You, too, my dear youngster! Consider yourself just like this,

ਤਾ ਸ਼ਵੀ ਐ ਜਾਨਿ ਮਨ ਮਰਦਿ ਤਮੀਜ਼ ॥ ੧੨੩ ॥

Tā sẖavī aai jāni mana maradi tamīza ] 123 ]

So that, my dear! You, too, can transform yourself into a pious and saintly person. (123)

ਸਾਹਿਬਾਣ ਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਬਿਸਆਰ ਆਮਦਾ

Sāhibāna rā baańadā bisaāra aāmadā

These masters, the noble souls, have numerous followers and devotees;

ਬੰਦਾ ਰਾ ਬਾ-ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਾਰ ਆਮਦਾ ॥ ੧੨੪ ॥

Baańadā rā bā-baańadagī kāra aāmadā ] 124 ]

The main task assigned to each and every one of us is only to meditate. (124)

ਮਸ ਤੁਰਾ ਬਾਇਦ ਕਿ ਖ਼ਿਦਮਤਗਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਾਣ

Masa turā bāeida ki kẖẖidamatagāri sẖāna

Therefore, you should become their follower and a devotee;

ਬਾਸ਼ੀ ਓ ਹਰਗਿਜ਼ ਨਭਬਾਸ਼ੀ ਬਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਾਣ ॥ ੧੨੫ ॥

Bāsẖī aoa haragiza nabẖabāsẖī bāri sẖāna ] 125 ]

But you should never be liability for them. (125)
