Using Raja as their pillow they went into peaceful slumber.(12)

ਭੋਰ ਭਏ ਉਠਿ ਪਿਯ ਗਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੋ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਇ ॥

Bhora Bhaee Autthi Piya Gayo Nripa So Bhoga Kamaaei ॥

In the morning when the husband had gone she enabled the Raja out

ਕਾਢਿ ਸਿਰਾਨਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਤ ਸਦਨ ਦਿਯੋ ਪਹੁਚਾਇ ॥੧੩॥

Kaadhi Siraanaa Te Turta Sadan Diyo Pahuchaaei ॥13॥

Of the pillow, and after carnal affair let him go home.(13)

ਜੇ ਜੇ ਸ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਸੋ ਕਰਤ ਪ੍ਯਾਰ ॥

ਤਾਹਿ ਮਹਾ ਜੜ ਸਮੁਝਿਯੈ ਚਿਤ ਭੀਤਰ ਨਿਰਧਾਰ ॥੧੪॥

Taahi Mahaa Jarha Samujhiyai Chita Bheetr Nridhaara ॥14॥

The wise ones who love women, they should be considered absurd.(14)(1)

ਭੂਪ ਬੰਦ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਨਿਜੁ ਸੁਤਹਿ ਗਹਿ ਕਰਿ ਦਿਯੋ ਪਠਾਇ ॥

Bhoop Baanda Griha Niju Sutahi Gahi Kari Diyo Patthaaei ॥

The Monarch caught hold of his son and sent him to the prison, And

ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਸਮੈ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਹਿਤ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਲਿਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥੧॥

In the morning, through the Minister, called him back.(1)

ਰੀਝ ਰਾਇ ਐਸੇ ਕਹ੍ਯੋ ਬਚਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਸੰਗ ॥

Of the wise men and the women -2

ਤੀਰ ਸਤੁਦ੍ਰਵ ਕੇ ਹੁਤੋ ਪੁਰ ਅਨੰਦ ਇਕ ਗਾਉ ॥

Teera Satudarva Ke Huto Pur Anaanda Eika Gaau ॥

On the banks of the river Sutlaj, there was a village by the name of Anadpur.

ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਤੁੰਗ ਕੇ ਢਿਗ ਬਸਤ ਕਾਹਲੂਰ ਕੇ ਠਾਉ ॥੩॥

Netar Tuaanga Ke Dhiga Basata Kaahaloora Ke Tthaau ॥3॥

It was situated near Naina Devi which situated was in the state of Kahloor.(3)

ਤਹਾ ਸਿਖ ਸਾਖਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਆਵਤ ਮੋਦ ਬਢਾਇ ॥

Tahaa Sikh Saakhaa Bahuta Aavata Moda Badhaaei ॥

There used to come several Sikhs with great pleasure,

ਮਨ ਬਾਛਤ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਾਂਗ ਬਰ ਜਾਤ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਨ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ॥੪॥

Man Baachhata Mukhi Maanga Bar Jaata Grihan Sukh Paaei ॥4॥

And after getting their ambitions fulfilled, they used to go back to their homes.(4)

ਏਕ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਕੀ ਤੌਨ ਨਗਰ ਮੈ ਆਨਿ ॥

Eeka Triyaa Dhanvaanta Kee Touna Nagar Mai Aani ॥

The wife of a rich-man came to that town.

ਹੇਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਪੀੜਤ ਭਈ ਬਿਧੀ ਬਿਰਹ ਕੇ ਬਾਨ ॥੫॥

Heri Raaei Peerhata Bhaeee Bidhee Briha Ke Baan ॥5॥

She fell for the Raja and was pierced with his love arrows.(5)

ਮਗਨ ਦਾਸ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਹੁਤੋ ਸੋ ਤਿਨ ਲਿਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥

Magan Daasa Taa Ko Huto So Tin Liyo Bulaaei ॥

She had a servant, Magan Das whom she called,

ਕਛੁਕ ਦਰਬ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਦਿਯੋ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਬਨਾਇ ॥੬॥

Kachhuka Darba Taa Ko Diyo Aaise Kahiyo Banaaei ॥6॥

And gave him some money and made him to understand like this.( 6)

ਨਗਰ ਰਾਇ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਬਸਤ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਹੁ ਮੋਹਿ ॥

Nagar Raaei Tumaro Basata Taahi Milaavahu Mohi ॥

‘You get me to meet the Raja,

ਤਾਹਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਦੈਹੋ ਤੁਝੈ ਅਮਿਤ ਦਰਬ ਲੈ ਤੋਹਿ ॥੭॥

Taahi Mile Daiho Tujhai Amita Darba Lai Tohi ॥7॥

‘And after encountering him 1 will give you lot of wealth.’(7)

ਮਗਨ ਲੋਭ ਧਨ ਕੇ ਲਗੇ ਆਨਿ ਰਾਵ ਕੇ ਪਾਸ ॥

Magan Lobha Dhan Ke Lage Aani Raava Ke Paasa ॥

Becoming greedy for money, Magan came to the Raja,

ਪਰਿ ਪਾਇਨ ਕਰ ਜੋਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਿਯ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥੮॥

Pari Paaein Kar Jori Kari Eih Bidhi Kiya Ardaasi ॥8॥

Fell on his feet and requested thus,(8)

ਸਿਖ੍ਯੋ ਚਹਤ ਜੋ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਤੁਮ ਸੋ ਆਯੋ ਮੁਰ ਹਾਥ ॥

Sikhio Chahata Jo Maantar Tuma So Aayo Mur Haatha ॥

‘The incantation you wanted to learn, has come in my possession.
