As if killing the Kashatriyas, Parshuram has bathed himself in their blood.14.

ਲੈ ਮਹਖਾਸੁਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੁ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬੈ ਕਲਵਤ੍ਰ ਜਿਉ ਚੀਰ ਕੈ ਡਾਰੈ ॥

Lai Mahakhaasur Asatar Su Sasatar Sabai Kalavatar Jiau Cheera Kai Daarai ॥

ਲੁਥ ਪੈ ਲੁਥ ਰਹੀ ਗੁਥਿ ਜੁਥਿ ਗਿਰੇ ਗਿਰ ਸੇ ਰਥ ਸੇਂਧਵ ਭਾਰੇ ॥

Jiau Darjee Jama Mrita Ke Seet Mai Baage Aneka Kataa Kari Daare ॥15॥

They all are lying dead as if the tailor, cutting the clothes makes their heaps.15.

ਲੈ ਸੁਰ ਸੰਗ ਸਬੈ ਸੁਰਪਾਲ ਸੁ ਕੋਪ ਕੇ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਕੀ ਸੈਨ ਪੈ ਧਾਏ ॥

Raam Mano Ran Jeet Kai Bhaalaka Dai Sripaau Sabai Paharaaee ॥16॥

As if Rama after conquering the war is bestowing (the redcoloured) robes of honour to all bears.16.

ਘਾਇਲ ਘੂਮਤ ਹੈ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਇਕ ਲੋਟਤ ਹੈ ਧਰਨੀ ਬਿਲਲਾਤੇ ॥

Ghaaeila Ghoomata Hai Ran Mai Eika Lottata Hai Dharnee Bilalaate ॥

Many wounded warriors are rolling in the battlefield and many of them are writhing and crying on the ground.

ਦਉਰਤ ਬੀਚ ਕਬੰਧ ਫਿਰੈ ਜਿਹ ਦੇਖਤ ਕਾਇਰ ਹੈ ਡਰ ਪਾਤੇ ॥

Daurta Beecha Kabaandha Phrii Jih Dekhta Kaaeri Hai Dar Paate ॥

The trunks are also twirling there, seeing which the cowards are frightened.

ਇਯੋ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਜੁਧੁ ਕੀਯੋ ਤਬ ਜੰਬੁਕ ਗਿਰਝ ਭਏ ਰੰਗ ਰਾਤੇ ॥

Eiyo Mahikhaasur Judhu Keeyo Taba Jaanbuka Grijha Bhaee Raanga Raate ॥

Mahishasura waged such a war that the jackals and vultures are highly pleased.

ਸ੍ਰੌਨ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਮੈ ਪਾਇ ਪਸਾਰ ਕੈ ਸੋਏ ਹੈ ਸੂਰ ਮਨੋ ਮਦ ਮਾਤੇ ॥੧੭॥

Sarouna Parvaaha Mai Paaei Pasaara Kai Soee Hai Soora Mano Mada Maate ॥17॥

And the heroes, being intoxicated, are lying prostrate in the stream of blood.17.

ਜੁਧੁ ਕੀਓ ਮਹਖਾਸੁਰ ਦਾਨਵ ਦੇਖਤ ਭਾਨੁ ਚਲੇ ਨਹੀ ਪੰਥਾ ॥

Seeing the fighting in the war of the demon Mahishasura, the sun is not moving on its orbit.

ਸ੍ਰੌਨ ਸਮੂਹ ਚਲਿਓ ਲਖਿ ਕੈ ਚਤੁਰਾਨਨ ਭੂਲਿ ਗਏ ਸਭ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾ ॥

Sarouna Samooha Chaliao Lakhi Kai Chaturaann Bhooli Gaee Sabha Garaanthaa ॥

Maasa Nihaara Kai Grijha Rarhai Chattasaara Parhai Jimu Baaraka Saanthaa ॥

ਸਾਰਸੁਤੀ ਤਟਿ ਲੈ ਭਟ ਲੋਥ ਸ੍ਰਿੰਗਾਲ ਕਿ ਸਿਧ ਬਨਾਵ ਕੰਥਾ ॥੧੮॥

Saarasutee Tatti Lai Bhatta Lotha Sringaala Ki Sidha Banaava Kaanthaa ॥18॥

The jackals are pulling the corpses in the field in such a way as if the Yogis, sitting on the banks of Sarswati are mending their patched quilts.18.
