In the country of Rajauri, there was a village called Rajpur.

ਤਹਾ ਏਕ ਗੂਜਰ ਬਸੈ ਰਾਜ ਮਲ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਉ ॥੧॥

There lived a gujar, the milkman, whose name was Raj Mahal.(1)

ਅਧਿਕ ਚਿਤ ਭੀਤਰ ਡਰ ਮਾਨ੍ਯੋ ॥

Adhika Chita Bheetr Dar Maanio ॥

The lover had no doubt that the milkman had come to know and,

ਛਾਡਿ ਗਾਵ ਤਿਹ ਅਨਤ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥

Chhaadi Gaava Tih Anta Sidhaayo ॥

ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਦਰਸੁ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥੩॥

Bahuri Na Taa Ko Darsu Dikhaayo ॥3॥

Therefore, he was much scared. He abandoned the village and was never seen.(3)
