ਸਕਲ ਕਟੇ ਭਟ ਕਟਕ ਕੇ ਪਾਇਕ ਰਥ ਹੈ ਕੁੰਭ ॥

ਚੰਡ ਮੁੰਡ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਦੈਤ ਤਬ ਲੀਨੇ ਸੁੰਭਿ ਹਕਾਰਿ ॥

Chaanda Muaanda Davai Daita Taba Leene Suaanbhi Hakaari ॥

Then the king called two demons Chand and Mund,

ਚਲਿ ਆਏ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਭਾ ਮਹਿ ਕਰਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਅਸਿ ਢਾਰ ॥੧੦੫॥

Chali Aaee Nripa Sabhaa Mahi Kari Leene Asi Dhaara ॥105॥

Who came in the king’s court, holding sword and shield in their hands. 105.,

ਅਭਬੰਦਨ ਦੋਨੋ ਕੀਓ ਬੈਠਾਏ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਤੀਰਿ ॥

Abhabaandan Dono Keeao Baitthaaee Nripa Teeri ॥

Both of them bowed in obeisance to the king, who asked them to sit near him.,

ਪਾਨ ਦਏ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਕਹਿਓ ਤੁਮ ਦੋਨੋ ਮਮ ਬੀਰ ॥੧੦੬॥

Paan Daee Mukh Te Kahiao Tuma Dono Mama Beera ॥106॥

And presenting them the seasoned and folded betel leaf, he uttered thus from his mouth, “Both of you are great heroes.”106.

ਨਿਜ ਕਟ ਕੋ ਫੈਂਟਾ ਦਇਓ ਅਰੁ ਜਮਧਰ ਕਰਵਾਰ ॥

ਤਬ ਸੇਸ ਕੇ ਸੀਸ ਧਰਾ ਲਰਜੀ ਜਨੁ ਮਧਿ ਤਰੰਗਨਿ ਨਾਵ ਹਲੀ ॥

Taba Sesa Ke Seesa Dharaa Larjee Janu Madhi Taraangani Naava Halee ॥

At that time, the earth shook on the head of Sheshnaga like the boat in the stream.,

ਖੁਰ ਬਾਜਨ ਧੂਰ ਉਡੀ ਨਭਿ ਕੋ ਕਵਿ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਉਪਮਾ ਨ ਟਲੀ ॥

Khur Baajan Dhoora Audee Nabhi Ko Kavi Ke Man Te Aupamaa Na Ttalee ॥

The dust which rose towards the sky with the hooves of the horses, the poet firmly imagined in his mind,

ਭਵ ਭਾਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਨਿਵਾਰਨ ਕੋ ਧਰਨੀ ਮਨੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਚਲੀ ॥੧੦੮॥

Bhava Bhaara Apaara Nivaaran Ko Dharnee Mano Barhama Ke Loka Chalee ॥108॥

That the earth is going towards the city of God in order to supplicate for the removal of its enormous burden.108.,

Both the demons Chand and Mund took a great army of warriors with them.,

ਨਿਕਟਿ ਜਾਇ ਗਿਰ ਘੇਰਿ ਕੈ ਮਹਾ ਕੁਲਾਹਲ ਕੀਨ ॥੧੦੯॥

Nikatti Jaaei Gri Gheri Kai Mahaa Kulaahala Keena ॥109॥

On reaching near the mountain, they besieged it and raised great furore.109.,

ਜਬ ਕਾਨ ਸੁਨੀ ਧੁਨਿ ਦੈਤਨ ਕੀ ਤਬ ਕੋਪੁ ਕੀਓ ਗਿਰਜਾ ਮਨ ਮੈ ॥

Jaba Kaan Sunee Dhuni Daitan Kee Taba Kopu Keeao Grijaa Man Mai ॥

ਚੜਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁ ਸੰਖ ਬਜਾਇ ਚਲੀ ਸਭਿ ਆਯੁਧ ਧਾਰ ਤਬੈ ਤਨ ਮੈ ॥

Charhi Siaangha Su Saankh Bajaaei Chalee Sabhi Aayudha Dhaara Tabai Tan Mai ॥

She moved immediately, riding on her lion, blowing her conch and carrying all the weapons on her body.,

ਗਿਰ ਤੇ ਉਤਰੀ ਦਲ ਬੈਰਨ ਕੈ ਪਰ ਯੌ ਉਪਮਾ ਉਪਜੀ ਮਨ ਮੈ ॥

Gri Te Autaree Dala Barin Kai Par You Aupamaa Aupajee Man Mai ॥

She descended from the mountain on the forces of the enemy and the poet felt,

ਨਭ ਤੇ ਬਹਰੀ ਲਖਿ ਛੂਟ ਪਰੀ ਜਨੁ ਕੂਕ ਕੁਲੰਗਨ ਕੇ ਗਨ ਮੈ ॥੧੧੦॥

Nabha Te Baharee Lakhi Chhootta Paree Janu Kooka Kulaangan Ke Gan Mai ॥110॥

That the falcon hath swooped down from the sky on the flock of cranes and sparrows.110.,

ਚੰਡ ਕੁਵੰਡ ਤੇ ਬਾਨ ਛੁਟੇ ਇਕ ਤੇ ਦਸ ਸਉ ਤੇ ਸਹੰਸ ਤਹ ਬਾਢੇ ॥

Chaanda Kuvaanda Te Baan Chhutte Eika Te Dasa Sau Te Sahaansa Taha Baadhe ॥

One arrow shot from the bow of Chandi increases in number to ten, one hundred and one thousand.,

ਲਛਕੁ ਹੁਇ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਲਗੇ ਤਨ ਦੈਤਨ ਮਾਝ ਰਹੇ ਗਡਿ ਗਾਢੇ ॥

Lachhaku Huei Kari Jaaei Lage Tan Daitan Maajha Rahe Gadi Gaadhe ॥

Then becomes one lakh and pierces its target of demons’ bodies and remain fixed there.,

ਕੋ ਕਵਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਸਰਾਹ ਕਰੈ ਅਤਿਸੈ ਉਪਮਾ ਜੁ ਭਈ ਬਿਨੁ ਕਾਢੇ ॥

Ko Kavi Taahi Saraaha Kari Atisai Aupamaa Ju Bhaeee Binu Kaadhe ॥
