Ankhaanda Teja Parchaanda ॥12॥331॥

She had indivisible and powerful glory.12.331.

ਤਬ ਬੋਲੀਯੋ ਮੁਖ ਚਾਰ ॥

Taba Boleeyo Mukh Chaara ॥

Then the four-headed Brahma spoke,

ਸੁਨਿ ਚੰਡਿ ਚੰਡ ਜੁਹਾਰ ॥

Suni Chaandi Chaanda Juhaara ॥

“Listen, O Chandi, I bow in obeisance to thee,

ਜਿਮ ਹੋਇ ਆਇਸ ਮੋਹਿ ॥

Jima Hoei Aaeisa Mohi ॥

“Just as thou hast asked me,

ਤਿਮ ਭਾਖਊ ਮਤ ਤੋਹਿ ॥੧੩॥੩੩੨॥

Tima Bhaakhoo Mata Tohi ॥13॥332॥

“In the same way, I advise thee.”13.322.

ਜਗ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਅਪਾਰ ॥

Jaga Jeea Jaanta Apaara ॥

The innumerable beings and creatures of the world,

ਨਿਜ ਲੀਨ ਦੇਵ ਹਕਾਰ ॥

Nija Leena Dev Hakaara ॥

The goddess herself called them to come,

ਅਰਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਕੈ ਪਲ ਖੰਡ ॥

Ari Kaatti Kai Pala Khaanda ॥

And within her enemies she cut them in an instant.

ਪੜਿ ਬੇਦ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਉਦੰਡ ॥੧੪॥੩੩੩॥

Parhi Beda Maantar Audaanda ॥14॥333॥

With her loud voice she recited the Vedic mantras and performed the sacrifice.14.333.

ਬੋਲਿ ਬਿਪਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਨ ਜਗ ਕੀਨ ਅਪਾਰ ॥

Boli Bipan Maantar Mitarn Jaga Keena Apaara ॥

The Brahmins began the performance of the sacrifice by the recitation of auspicious mantras

ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਅਉਰ ਉਪਿੰਦ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਕੈ ਬੋਲਿ ਕੈ ਮੁਖ ਚਾਰ ॥

Eiaandar Aaur Aupiaandar Lai Kai Boli Kai Mukh Chaara ॥

Brahma, Indra and other gods were also invited.

ਕਉਨ ਭਾਤਨ ਕੀਜੀਐ ਅਬ ਜਗ ਕੋ ਆਰੰਭ ॥

Kauna Bhaatan Keejeeaai Aba Jaga Ko Aaraanbha ॥

“In what way, the sacrifice be began now?” the king asked again,

ਆਜ ਮੋਹਿ ਉਚਾਰੀਐ ਸੁਨਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਅਸੰਭ ॥੧॥੩੩੪॥

Aaja Mohi Auchaareeaai Suni Mitar Maantar Asaanbha ॥1॥334॥

“O friends, give me to-day, thy advice in this impossible errand.”1.334.

ਮਾਸ ਕੇ ਪਲ ਕਾਟਿ ਕੈ ਪੜਿ ਬੇਦ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਅਪਾਰ ॥

Maasa Ke Pala Kaatti Kai Parhi Beda Maantar Apaara ॥

The friend advised that the flesh chopped into bits alongwith the recitation of mantras,

ਅਗਨਿ ਭੀਤਰ ਹੋਮੀਐ ਸੁਨਿ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਜ ਅਬਿਚਾਰ ॥

Agani Bheetr Homeeaai Suni Raaja Raaja Abichaara ॥

Be burnt in the sacrificial fire the king was asked to listen and act without any other thoughts

ਛੇਦਿ ਚਿਛੁਰ ਬਿੜਾਰਾਸੁਰ ਧੂਲਿ ਕਰਣਿ ਖਪਾਇ ॥

Chhedi Chichhur Birhaaraasur Dhooli Karni Khpaaei ॥

The goddess had killed the demons named Chithar and Biraal and destroyed Dhoolkaran

ਮਾਰ ਦਾਨਵ ਕਉ ਕਰਿਓ ਮਖ ਦੈਤ ਮੇਧ ਬਨਾਇ ॥੨॥੩੩੫॥

Maara Daanva Kau Kariao Makh Daita Medha Banaaei ॥2॥335॥

After killing the demons she performed the demon-sacrifice.2.335.

ਤੈਸ ਹੀ ਮਖ ਕੀਜੀਐ ਸੁਨਿ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ॥

Taisa Hee Makh Keejeeaai Suni Raaja Raaja Parchaanda ॥

“Listen, O most Glorious Sovereign, thou shouldst perform the sacrifice in that way

ਜੀਤਿ ਦਾਨਵ ਦੇਸ ਕੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਖੰਡ ॥

Jeeti Daanva Desa Ke Balavaan Purkh Akhaanda ॥

“O mighty and perfect Lord, therefore conquer all the demons of the country

ਤੈਸ ਹੀ ਮਖ ਮਾਰ ਕੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਫਿਰਾਇ ॥

Taisa Hee Makh Maara Kai Siri Eiaandar Chhatar Phiraaei ॥

“Just as the goddess having killed the demons, held the canopy over the head of Indra,

ਜੈਸ ਸੁਰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਤਿਵ ਸੰਤ ਹੋਹੁ ਸਹਾਇ ॥੩॥੩੩੬॥

Jaisa Sur Sukhu Paaeiao Tiva Saanta Hohu Sahaaei ॥3॥336॥

“And made all the gods happy, similarly Thou mayst help the saints.”3.336.
