ਸ੍ਰਿਜੇ ਸੇਤਜੰ ਜੇਰਜੰ ਉਤਭੁਜੇਵੰ ॥

Srije Setajaan Jerajaan Autabhujevaan ॥

Thou hast created the Svetaja, Jeraju and Uddahhujja division of creation. !

ਰਚੇ ਅੰਡਜੰ ਖੰਡ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਏਵੰ ॥

Rache Aandajaan Khaanda Barhamaanda Eevaan ॥

Like this Thou hast created the Andaja division and also the regions and universes !

ਦਿਸਾ ਬਿਦਿਸਾਯੰ ਜਿਮੀ ਆਸਮਾਣੰ ॥

Disaa Bidisaayaan Jimee Aasamaanaan ॥

Thou hast also created the directions, the indivcations, the earth and the sky. !

ਚਤੁਰ ਬੇਦ ਕਥ੍ਯੰ ਕੁਰਾਣੰ ਪੁਰਾਣੰ ॥੨੪॥

Chatur Beda Kathaiaan Kuraanaan Puraanaan ॥24॥

Thou hast also related the four Vedas, the Quran and the Puranas ! 24

ਰਚੇ ਰੈਣ ਦਿਵਸੰ ਥਪੇ ਸੂਰ ਚੰਦ੍ਰੰ ॥

Rache Rain Divasaan Thape Soora Chaandaraan ॥

Thou hast created night and day and established the sun and moon. !

ਠਟੇ ਦਈਵ ਦਾਨੋ ਰਚੇ ਬੀਰ ਬਿੰਦ੍ਰੰ ॥

Tthatte Daeeeva Daano Rache Beera Biaandaraan ॥

Thou hast created gods and demons of the mighty Death hath subdued all !

ਕਰੀ ਲੋਹ ਕਲਮੰ ਲਿਖ੍ਯੋ ਲੇਖ ਮਾਥੰ ॥

Karee Loha Kalamaan Likhio Lekh Maathaan ॥

Thou hast created the pen to write on the tablet and hast recorded the writ on the forehead. !

ਸਬੈ ਜੇਰ ਕੀਨੇ ਬਲੀ ਕਾਲ ਹਾਥੰ ॥੨੫॥

Sabai Jera Keene Balee Kaal Haathaan ॥25॥

The hand of the mighty Death hath subdued all ! 25

ਕਈ ਮੇਟਿ ਡਾਰੇ ਉਸਾਰੇ ਬਨਾਏ ॥

Kaeee Metti Daare Ausaare Banaaee ॥

He hath effaced many and then made (created) others. !

ਉਪਾਰੇ ਗੜੇ ਫੇਰਿ ਮੇਟੇ ਉਪਾਏ ॥

Aupaare Garhe Pheri Mette Aupaaee ॥

He destroys the created ones and then creates after effacing !

ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਕਾਲ ਜੂ ਕੀ ਕਿਨੂ ਨ ਪਛਾਨੀ ॥

Kriaa Kaal Joo Kee Kinoo Na Pachhaanee ॥

None could comprehend the working of Death (KAL). !

ਘਨਿਯੋ ਪੈ ਬਿਹੈ ਹੈ ਘਨਿਯੋ ਪੈ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ॥੨੬॥

Ghaniyo Pai Bihi Hai Ghaniyo Pai Bihaanee ॥26॥

Many have experienced it and many will experience it ! 26

ਕਿਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਸੇ ਕੀਟ ਕੋਟੈ ਬਨਾਏ ॥

Kite Krisan Se Keetta Kottai Banaaee ॥

Somewhere He hath created millions of the servants like Krishna. !

ਕਿਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਸੇ ਮੇਟਿ ਡਾਰੇ ਉਪਾਏ ॥

Kite Raam Se Metti Daare Aupaaee ॥

Somewhere He hath effaced and then created (many) like Rama !

ਮਹਾਦੀਨ ਕੇਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਮਾਝਿ ਹੂਏ ॥

Mahaadeena Kete Prithee Maajhi Hooee ॥

Many Muhammads had been on the earth. !

ਸਮੈ ਆਪਨੀ ਆਪਨੀ ਅੰਤਿ ਮੂਏ ॥੨੭॥

Samai Aapanee Aapanee Aanti Mooee ॥27॥

They were born and then died in their own times ! 27

ਜਿਤੇ ਅਉਲੀਆ ਅੰਬੀਆ ਹੋਇ ਬੀਤੇ ॥

Jite Aauleeaa Aanbeeaa Hoei Beete ॥

All the Prophets and saints of the past were conquered by Death (KAL), !

ਤਿਤ੍ਯੋ ਕਾਲ ਜੀਤਾ ਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਜੀਤੇ ॥

Titaio Kaal Jeetaa Na Te Kaal Jeete ॥

But none could conquer it (him) !

ਜਿਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਸੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਹੁਇ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਆਏ ॥

Jite Raam Se Krisan Huei Bisanu Aaee ॥

All the incarnations of Vishnu like Rama and Krishan were destroyed by KAL, !

ਤਿਤ੍ਯੋ ਕਾਲ ਖਾਪਿਓ ਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਘਾਏ ॥੨੮॥

Titaio Kaal Khaapiao Na Te Kaal Ghaaee ॥28॥

But they could not destroy him ! 28

ਜਿਤੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਸੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਸੇ ਹੋਤ ਆਏ ॥

Jite Eiaandar Se Chaandar Se Hota Aaee ॥

All the indras and Chandras (moons) who came into being were destroyed by KAL, !

ਤਿਤ੍ਯੋ ਕਾਲ ਖਾਪਾ ਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਿ ਘਾਏ ॥

Titaio Kaal Khaapaa Na Te Kaali Ghaaee ॥

But they could not destroy him !
