ਬੈਠਿ ਚੋਰੁ ਅਸਿ ਕਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੀ ॥

ਏਕ ਚੋਰ ਦੂਜੋ ਧਰ ਫਾਸੀ ॥

The thief now sat down and narrated, ‘There was one thief and there was one who was worthy of hanging (swindler),

ਏਕ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੋ ਕੇਲ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
