ਤਬ ਤਿਨ ਜਾਟ ਅਧਿਕ ਰਿਸਿ ਮਾਨੀ ॥

ਤਾ ਕੀ ਨਾਸ ਬਿਵਤ ਜਿਯ ਆਨੀ ॥
Taa Kee Naasa Bivata Jiya Aanee ॥
The Jat was rightly furious and planned to get rid of her.
ਇਹੁ ਕਹਿ ਕਹੂੰ ਬੋਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਰੋ ॥
Eihu Kahi Kahooaan Bori Kari Maaro ॥
ਨਿਤ੍ਯ ਨਿਤ੍ਯ ਕੋ ਤਾਪੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੋ ॥੧੦॥

ਚਲਤ ਚਲਤ ਸਰਤਾ ਤਟ ਆਯੋ ॥

But she said that she would definitely go and would go without the rope,
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਜਾਟ ਇਹ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
Bahuri Jaatta Eih Bhaanti Auchaaro ॥

Sukhee Chalahu Charhi Naava Piyaaree ॥
Along with the woman, he reached the bank of the stream and the Jat asked her, ‘Listen to me,(12)
ਮਾਨਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਯਹ ਮੋਰ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
Maani Lehu Yaha Mora Auchaaree ॥
‘My beloved, I request you to go across on a boat.’
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਬੈਲ ਪੂਛਿ ਗਹਿ ਜੈਹੌ ॥
Triya Kahiyo Baila Poochhi Gahi Jaihou ॥
ਅਬ ਹੀ ਪਾਰਿ ਨਦੀ ਕੇ ਹ੍ਵੈਹੌ ॥੧੩॥
Aba Hee Paari Nadee Ke Havaihou ॥13॥
The woman said, ‘No, I will go across by holding the tail of a bull.’(13)
