ਕਰ ਸੋ ਔਸੀ ਕਾਢਿ ਕੈ ਲਈ ਸਲਾਕ ਉਠਾਇ

Kar So Aousee Kaadhi Kai Laeee Salaaka Autthaaei ॥

While drawing the lines thus, she had taken away the pipe,

ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ੭੦ - ੧੧/੧ - ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ


ਹ੍ਯਾ ਰੋਦਨ ਕੋਊ ਕਿਨ ਕਰੋ ਕਹਿ ਸਿਰ ਧਰੀ ਬਨਾਇ ॥੧੧॥

Haiaa Rodan Koaoo Kin Karo Kahi Sri Dharee Banaaei ॥11॥

And told him not to cry there and go back to his house.(11)

ਚੋਰ ਸੁਨਾਰੋ ਚੁਪ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਕਛੂ ਬੋਲਿਯੋ ਜਾਇ

Chora Sunaaro Chupa Rahiyo Kachhoo Na Boliyo Jaaei ॥

The goldsmith kept quiet and could not say anything,

ਪਾਈ ਪਰੀ ਸਲਾਕ ਕਹਿ ਸੋਨਾ ਲਯੋ ਭਰਾਇ ॥੧੨॥

Paaeee Paree Salaaka Kahi Sonaa Layo Bharaaei ॥12॥

And the woman took away the pipe filled with gold.(12)

ਹਰੀ ਸਲਾਕ ਹਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿ ਸ੍ਵਰਨ ਤੋਲਿ ਭਰਿ ਲੀਨ

Haree Salaaka Haree Triyahi Savarn Toli Bhari Leena ॥

This way a woman took away the pipe containing gold,

ਚਲ੍ਯੋ ਦਰਬੁ ਦੈ ਗਾਂਠਿ ਕੋ ਦੁਖਿਤ ਸੁਨਾਰੋ ਦੀਨ ॥੧੩॥

Chalaio Darbu Dai Gaantthi Ko Dukhita Sunaaro Deena ॥13॥

And the goldsmith taking his baggage went away in distress.(l3)

ਛਲ ਰੂਪ ਛੈਲੀ ਸਦਾ ਛਕੀ ਰਹਤ ਛਿਤ ਮਾਹਿ

Chhala Roop Chhailee Sadaa Chhakee Rahata Chhita Maahi ॥

A woman laden with vile Chritars remains vile-proof.

ਅਛਲ ਛਲਤ ਛਿਤਪਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਛਲੀ ਕੌਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧੪॥

Achhala Chhalata Chhitapatin Ko Chhalee Kouna Te Jaahi ॥14॥

One who can deceive the rulers, cannot be swindled.(l4)(1)
