My master being gone abroad, I never take a step out side the house.(6)

ਲਗਤ ਬੀਰਿਯਾ ਬਾਨ ਸੀ ਬਿਖੁ ਸੋ ਲਗਤ ਅਨਾਜ ॥

Lagata Beeriyaa Baan See Bikhu So Lagata Anaaja ॥

‘Beetle-leaves and bird (cigarettes) hit me like the arrows, and the food

ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਨਾਥ ਪਰਦੇਸ ਗੇ ਤਾ ਬਿਨ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਸਾਜ ॥੭॥

Paraan Naatha Pardesa Ge Taa Bin Kachhoo Na Saaja ॥7॥

When husband is abroad, nothing savours me.(7)

ਬਾਢੀ ਐਸੇ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਿ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਭਯੋ ਖੁਸਾਲ ॥

Baadhee Aaise Bachan Suni Man Mai Bhayo Khusaala ॥

Listening to such praise, he (the husband) was much pleased,

ਜਾਰ ਸਹਿਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਖਾਟ ਲੈ ਨਾਚਿ ਉਠਿਯੋ ਤਤਕਾਲ ॥੮॥

Jaara Sahita Triya Khaatta Lai Naachi Autthiyo Tatakaal ॥8॥
