ਭੇਜਿ ਕਾਹੂ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਇਹੈ ਸਿਖਾਯੋ ॥

Bheji Kaahoo Triya Eihi Sikhaayo ॥

ਲਿਖਿ ਪਤਿਯਾ ਮੈ ਯਹੈ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥

Likhi Patiyaa Mai Yahai Patthaayo ॥

The woman told the messenger, ‘I have explained in the letter,

ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਸਮੈ ਪਿਛਵਾਰੇ ਐਹੌ ॥

Paraata Samai Pichhavaare Aaihou ॥

ਦੁਹੂੰ ਹਾਥ ਭਏ ਤਾਲ ਬਜੈਹੌ ॥੧੦॥

Duhooaan Haatha Bhaee Taala Bajaihou ॥10॥

‘He should come early in morning at the back of the house and clap his hands twice.’(10)

ਜਬ ਤਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਵਨਨ ਸੁਨਿ ਪੈਯਹੁ ॥

Jaba Taaree Sarvanna Suni Paiyahu ॥

ਤੁਰਤੁ ਤਹਾ ਆਪਨ ਉਠਿ ਐਯਹੁ ॥

Turtu Tahaa Aapan Autthi Aaiyahu ॥

‘When I will hear the clap with my own ears, I will immediately proceed to the place.

ਕਾਂਧ ਉਪਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਥੈਲੀ ਲੈਯਹੁ ॥

Kaandha Aupari Kari Thailee Laiyahu ॥

ਮੇਰੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਮਾਨਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਲੈਯਹੁ ॥੧੧॥

Mero Kahiyo Maani Triya Laiyahu ॥11॥

‘I will place the bag (containing money) on the wall and, I insist, he must take it away.(11)

ਥੈਲੀ ਕਾਂਧ ਊਪਰ ਕਰਿ ਡਾਰੀ ॥

Thailee Kaandha Aoopra Kari Daaree ॥

ਭੇਦ ਨ ਲਖ੍ਯੋ ਦੈਵ ਕੀ ਮਾਰੀ ॥੧੨॥

Bheda Na Lakhio Daiva Kee Maaree ॥12॥
