ਮੂੰਡ ਕਾਟਿ ਜਿਨ ਨਿਜੁ ਕਰਨ ਹਰ ਪਰ ਦਿਯੋ ਚਰਾਇ ॥

Mooaanda Kaatti Jin Niju Karn Har Par Diyo Charaaei ॥

(He said,) ‘The woman, who has cut her head off, and, with her own hands, has presented to Shiva,

ਧੰਨ੍ਯੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਧੰਨਿ ਦੇਸ ਤਿਹ ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਪਿਤਾ ਧੰਨਿ ਮਾਇ ॥੧੨॥

Dhaannio Triyaa Dhaanni Desa Tih Dhaanni Pitaa Dhaanni Maaei ॥12॥

‘She and her parents are worthy ofhonours.’(12)

ਦਾਹ ਦਿਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਰਿ ਕੌ ਚਿਤ ਅਤਿ ਸੋਕ ਬਢਾਇ ॥

Daaha Diyo Tih Naari Kou Chita Ati Soka Badhaaei ॥

With intense tribulations, he cremated her

ਸਵਤਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਨਿਜੁ ਕਰਨ ਸੌ ਔਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿ ਦਿਖਰਾਇ ॥

Savati Maari Niju Karn Sou Aour Nripahi Dikhraaei ॥

By killing the co-wife, and showing her to the Raja,

ਰਾਜਾ ਕੌ ਨਿਜੁ ਬਸ ਕਿਯੋ ਐਸੋ ਚਰਿਤ ਬਨਾਇ ॥੧੪॥

Raajaa Kou Niju Basa Kiyo Aaiso Charita Banaaei ॥14॥

With deception, she had won the favour ofthe sovereign.(14)

Brahma, Vishnu, the gods, the devils, the Sun, the Moon,

ਬੇਦ ਬ੍ਯਾਸ ਅਰੁ ਬੇਦ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਭੇਦ ਸਕੇ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਇ ॥੧੫॥

Beda Baiaasa Aru Beda Triya Bheda Sake Nahi Paaei ॥15॥

The sage Viyas, and them all, could not fathom the females.(15)(1)
