Tela Daari Tar Diyo Karaaha Charhaaei Kai ॥
‘Underneath there, an open cauldron with oil in it, will be placed.

ਛਾਹ ਹੇਰ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਚਖ ਦਛਿਨ ਮਾਰਿ ਹੈ ॥
Chhaaha Hera Jo Eih Chakh Dachhin Maari Hai ॥
‘Looking on the image (of fish) in the oil,
ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ੧੩੭ - ੬/੩ - ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ
ਹੋ ਸੋ ਨਰ ਹਮਰੇ ਸਾਥ ਸੁ ਆਇ ਬਿਹਾਰਿ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
Ho So Nar Hamare Saatha Su Aaei Bihaari Hai ॥6॥
‘Whosoever hit the fish will marry me.’(6)

ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸ ਕੇ ਏਸਨ ਲਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
Desa Desa Ke Eesan Layo Bulaaei Kai ॥
The princes from all the countries were invited.

ਡੀਮ ਡਾਮ ਕਰਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਬਿਸਿਖ ਬਗਾਵਹੀ ॥
Deema Daam Kari Taa Ko Bisikh Bagaavahee ॥
Many came with great pride and threw arrows.

ਹੋ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਚੋਟ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵਹੀ ॥੭॥
Ho Lagai Na Taa Ko Chotta Bahuri Phiri Aavahee ॥7॥
But no one could hit and they remained disappointed.(7)
