He, who is struck by the arrow on his chest, he breathes his last.34.

ਤਬੈ ਕੋਪ ਜਾਗ੍ਯੋ ॥

Tabai Kopa Jaagaio ॥

Whenever one is wounded, he gets highly infuriated.

Saanbhaaree Kamaanaan ॥

ਹਣੇ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਣੰ ॥੩੫॥

Then, holding his bow, he kills the warriors with arrows. 35.

ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਢੂਕੇ ॥

Chahooaan Aor Dhooke ॥

ਮੁਖੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੂਕੇ ॥

Mukhaan Maara Kooke ॥

The warriors advance from all the four sides and shout “kill, kill”.

ਨ੍ਰਿਭੈ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਾਹੈ ॥

Nribhai Sasatar Baahai ॥

ਦੋਊ ਜੀਤ ਚਾਹੈ ॥੩੬॥

Doaoo Jeet Chaahai ॥36॥

They strike their weapons fearlessly, both the sides wish for their victory.36.

The sons of Khans, in great ire and puffed up with great ego,

ਸਭੇ ਸੂਰ ਹਰਖੇ ॥੩੭॥

Sabhe Soora Harkhe ॥37॥

Shower the rain of arrows all the warriors are filled with anger.37.

ਕਰੈ ਬਾਣ ਅਰਚਾ ॥

Kari Baan Archaa ॥

ਧਨੁਰ ਬੇਦ ਚਰਚਾ ॥

Dhanur Beda Charchaa ॥

There is spattering of arrows (in worship) and the bows seem engaged in Vedic discussion.

ਸੁ ਸਾਂਗੰ ਸਮ੍ਹਾਲੰ ॥

Su Saangaan Samahaalaan ॥

ਕਰੈ ਤਉਨ ਠਾਮੰ ॥੩੮॥

Kari Tauna Tthaamaan ॥38॥

Wherever the warrior wants to strike the blow, he strikes it.38.

ਬਲੀ ਬੀਰ ਰੁਝੇ ॥

Balee Beera Rujhe ॥

ਸਮੁਹ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਜੁਝੇ ॥

Samuha Sasatar Jujhe ॥

The brave fighters are busy in this task they are engaged in war with all their wepons.

ਲਗੈ ਧੀਰ ਧਕੈ ॥

Lagai Dheera Dhakai ॥

ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣੰ ਝਨਕੈ ॥੩੯॥

Kripaanaan Jhankai ॥39॥

The warriors, with the quality of forbearance, are knocking forcefully and their swords are clattering.39.

ਕੜਕੈ ਕਮਾਣੰ ॥

Karhakai Kamaanaan ॥

ਝਣਕੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣੰ ॥

Jhankai Kripaanaan ॥

The bows crackle and the swords clatter.

ਕੜਕਾਰ ਛੁਟੈ ॥

Karhakaara Chhuttai ॥

ਝਣੰਕਾਰ ਉਠੈ ॥੪੦॥

Jhanaankaara Autthai ॥40॥

The arrows, when discharged, produce knocking sound, and the weapons when struck, produce jingling sound.40.

ਹਠੀ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਝਾਰੇ ॥

Hatthee Sasatar Jhaare ॥

ਨ ਸੰਕਾ ਬਿਚਾਰੇ ॥

Na Saankaa Bichaare ॥

The warriors are striking their weapons, they do not think of the impending death.

ਕਰੇ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰੰ ॥

Kare Teera Maaraan ॥

ਫਿਰੈ ਲੋਹ ਧਾਰੰ ॥੪੧॥

Phrii Loha Dhaaraan ॥41॥

The arrows are being discharged and the swords are being struck. 41.

ਨਦੀ ਸ੍ਰੋਣ ਪੂਰੰ ॥

Nadee Sarona Pooraan ॥

ਫਿਰੈ ਗੈਣਿ ਹੂਰੰ ॥

Phrii Gaini Hooraan ॥

The stream of bloods is full, the houris (the heavenly damsels) are moving in the sky.

ਉਭੇ ਖੇਤ ਪਾਲੰ ॥

Aubhe Kheta Paalaan ॥

ਬਕੇ ਬਿਕਰਾਲੰ ॥੪੨॥

On both sides, the warriors utter dreadful shouts.42.
