ਤਬ ਦਾਨਵ ਰੋਸ ਭਰੇ ਸਬ ਹੀ ॥

Taba Daanva Rosa Bhare Saba Hee ॥

All the demons were filled with anger,

ਜਗ ਮਾਤ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਲਗੈ ਜਬ ਹੀ ॥

Jaga Maata Ke Baan Lagai Jaba Hee ॥

When the were pierced by the arrows of the Mother of the worls.

ਬਿਬਿਧਾਯੁਧ ਲੈ ਸੁ ਬਲੀ ਹਰਖੇ ॥

Bibidhaayudha Lai Su Balee Harkhe ॥

Those brave warriors caught hold of their weapons with pleasure,

ਘਨ ਬੂੰਦਨ ਜਿਯੋ ਬਿਸਖੰ ਬਰਖੇ ॥੧੬॥

Ghan Booaandan Jiyo Bisakhaan Barkhe ॥16॥

And began to shoot arrows like the rain-drops.16.

ਜਨੁ ਘੋਰ ਕੈ ਸਿਆਮ ਘਟਾ ਘੁਮਡੀ ॥

Janu Ghora Kai Siaam Ghattaa Ghumadee ॥

Like the roaring and advancing dark clouds,

ਅਸੁਰੇਸ ਅਨੀਕਨਿ ਤ੍ਯੋ ਉਮਿਡੀ ॥

Asuresa Aneekani Taio Aumidee ॥

The forces of the demon-king marched forward.

ਜਗ ਮਾਤ ਬਿਰੂਥਨਿ ਮੋ ਧਸਿ ਕੈ ॥

Jaga Maata Biroothani Mo Dhasi Kai ॥

The Mother of the world, penetrating into the armies of the enemy,

ਧਨੁ ਸਾਇਕ ਹਾਥ ਗਹਿਯੋ ਹਸਿ ਕੈ ॥੧੭॥

Dhanu Saaeika Haatha Gahiyo Hasi Kai ॥17॥

She caught hold of the bow and arrows smilingly.17.

ਰਣ ਕੁੰਜਰ ਪੁੰਜ ਗਿਰਾਇ ਦੀਏ ॥

Ran Kuaanjar Puaanja Giraaei Deeee ॥

She overthrew in the battlefield the herds of elephants,

ਇਕ ਖੰਡ ਅਖੰਡ ਦੁਖੰਡ ਕੀਏ ॥

Eika Khaanda Akhaanda Dukhaanda Keeee ॥

And chopped into halves some of them.

ਸਿਰ ਏਕਨਿ ਚੋਟ ਨਿਫੋਟ ਬਹੀ ॥

Sri Eekani Chotta Niphotta Bahee ॥

On the heads of some of them she struck such a mighty blow,

ਤਰਵਾਰ ਹੁਐ ਤਰਵਾਰ ਰਹੀ ॥੧੮॥

Tarvaara Huaai Tarvaara Rahee ॥18॥

That the bodies were pierced from the heads to the foot-palm.

ਤਨ ਝਝਰ ਹੁਐ ਰਣ ਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰੇ ॥

Tan Jhajhar Huaai Ran Bhoomi Gire ॥

The decayed bodies fell in the battlefield

ਇਕ ਭਾਜ ਚਲੇ ਫਿਰ ਕੈ ਨ ਫਿਰੇ ॥

Eika Bhaaja Chale Phri Kai Na Phire ॥

Some ran away and did not return

ਇਕਿ ਹਾਥ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਲੈ ਆਨਿ ਬਹੇ ॥

Eiki Haatha Hathiaara Lai Aani Bahe ॥

Some have caught hold of weapons and entered the battlefield

ਲਰਿ ਕੈ ਮਰਿ ਕੈ ਗਿਰਿ ਖੇਤਿ ਰਹੇ ॥੧੯॥

Lari Kai Mari Kai Giri Kheti Rahe ॥19॥

And after fighting have died and fallen in the field.19.
