ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਘੁਬੀਰ ਸਿਰੋਮਨ ਸੂਰ ਕੁਵੰਡ ਲਯੋ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਹਸਿ ਕੈ ॥

Sree Raghubeera Siroman Soora Kuvaanda Layo Kar Mai Hasi Kai ॥

Ram, the supreme hero took the bow in his hand smilingly

ਲੀਅ ਚਾਂਪ ਚਟਾਕ ਚੜਾਇ ਬਲੀ ਖਟ ਟੂਕ ਕਰਯੋ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਕਸਿ ਕੈ ॥

Leea Chaanpa Chattaaka Charhaaei Balee Khtta Ttooka Karyo Chhin Mai Kasi Kai ॥

Pulled its string and tightening the arrow, broke it into two pieces.

ਨਭ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਹਤੀ ਸਰ ਸੋ ਅਧ ਬੀਚ ਹੀ ਬਾਤ ਰਹੀ ਬਸਿ ਕੈ ॥

Nabha Kee Gati Taahi Hatee Sar So Adha Beecha Hee Baata Rahee Basi Kai ॥

On breaking, the bow produced such a dreadful sound as if the arrow had struck the chest of the sky which gad burst.

ਨ ਬਸਾਤ ਕਛੂ ਨਟ ਕੇ ਬਟ ਜਯੋਂ ਭਵ ਪਾਸ ਨਿਸੰਗਿ ਰਹੈ ਫਸਿ ਕੈ ॥੧੫੩॥
