ਕਾਗੜਦੀ ਕੁੱਪਯੋ ਕਪਿ ਕਟਕ ਬਾਗੜਦੀ ਬਾਜਨ ਰਣ ਬੱਜਿਯ ॥

Kaagarhadee Ku`payo Kapi Kattaka Baagarhadee Baajan Ran Ba`jiya ॥

The army of monkeys got infuriated and the terrible war instruments resounded

ਤਾਗੜਦੀ ਤੇਗ ਝਲਹਲੀ ਗਾਗੜਦੀ ਜੋਧਾ ਗਲ ਗੱਜਿਯ ॥

Taagarhadee Tega Jhalahalee Gaagarhadee Jodhaa Gala Ga`jiya ॥

There was the glitter of the swords and the warriors thundered like lions

ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸੂਰ ਸੰਮੁਹੇ ਨਾਗੜਦੀ ਨਾਰਦ ਮੁਨਿ ਨੱਚਯੋ ॥

Saagarhadee Soora Saanmuhe Naagarhadee Naarada Muni Na`chayo ॥

Seeing the warriors fighting with each other the sage Narad danced with joy

ਬਾਗੜਦੀ ਬੀਰ ਬੈਤਾਲ ਆਗੜਦੀ ਆਰਣ ਰੰਗ ਰੱਚਯੋ ॥

Baagarhadee Beera Baitaala Aagarhadee Aaran Raanga Ra`chayo ॥

The stampede of the brave fiends became violent and alongwith it the war also grew in intensity

ਸੰਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸੁਭਟ ਨੱਚੇ ਸਮਰ ਫਾਗੜਦੀ ਫੁੰਕ ਫਣੀਅਰ ਕਰੈਂ ॥

Saansaagarhadee Subhatta Na`che Samar Phaagarhadee Phuaanka Phaneear Karina ॥

The warriors danced in the battlefield and the blood flowed from their bodies like the flow of poison from the thousands of hoods of Sheshanaga and they began to play holi

ਸੰਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸਮਟੈ ਸੁੰਕੜੈ ਫਣਪਤਿ ਫਣਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਧਰੈਂ ॥੩੯੦॥

Saansaagarhadee Samattai Suaankarhai Phanpati Phani Phiri Phiri Dharina ॥390॥

The warriors sometimes recede like the hoods of serpents and sometimes strike while advancing forward.390.

ਫਾਗੜਦੀ ਫੁੰਕ ਫਿੰਕਰੀ ਰਾਗੜਦੀ ਰਣ ਗਿੱਧ ਰੜੱਕੈ ॥

Phaagarhadee Phuaanka Phiaankaree Raagarhadee Ran Gi`dha Rarha`kai ॥

There are splashes of blood on all the four side and there seems to be a show of holi the vultures are seen in the battlefield

ਲਾਗੜਦੀ ਲੁੱਥ ਬਿੱਥੁਰੀ ਭਾਗੜਦੀ ਭਟ ਘਾਇ ਭਭੱਕੈ ॥

Laagarhadee Lu`tha Bi`thuree Bhaagarhadee Bhatta Ghaaei Bhabha`kai ॥

The corpses are lying scattered and the blood is gushing out of the bodies of the warriors

ਬਾਗੜਦੀ ਬਰੱਖਤ ਬਾਣ ਝਾਗੜਦੀ ਝਲਮਲਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣੰ ॥

Baagarhadee Bar`khta Baan Jhaagarhadee Jhalamalata Kripaanaan ॥

There is shower of the arrows and the glimmer of the swords is visible

ਗਾਗੜਦੀ ਗੱਜ ਸੰਜਰੈ ਕਾਗੜਦੀ ਕੱਛੇ ਕਿੰਕਾਣੰ ॥

Gaagarhadee Ga`ja Saanjari Kaagarhadee Ka`chhe Kiaankaanaan ॥

The elephants are thundering and the horses are running amuck

ਬੰਬਾਗੜਦੀ ਬਹਤ ਬੀਰਨ ਸਿਰਨ ਤਾਗੜਦੀ ਤਮਕਿ ਤੇਗੰ ਕੜੀਅ ॥

Baanbaagarhadee Bahata Beeran Srin Taagarhadee Tamaki Tegaan Karheea ॥

The heads of the warriors are flowing in the stream of blood and there is glitter of the swords,

ਝੰਝਾਗੜਦੀ ਝੜਕ ਦੈ ਝੜ ਸਮੈ ਝਲਮਲ ਝੁਕਿ ਬਿੱਜੁਲ ਝੜੀਅ ॥੩੯੧॥

Jhaanjhaagarhadee Jharhaka Dai Jharha Samai Jhalamala Jhuki Bi`jula Jharheea ॥391॥

Which are falling with sound like the lightning from the sky.391.

ਨਾਗੜਦੀ ਨਾਰਾਂਤਕ ਗਿਰਤ ਦਾਗੜਦੀ ਦੇਵਾਂਤਕ ਧਾਯੋ ॥

Naagarhadee Naaraantaka Grita Daagarhadee Devaantaka Dhaayo ॥

When Narantak fell down, Devantak ran forward,

ਜਾਗੜਦੀ ਜੁੱਧ ਕਰਿ ਤੁਮਲ ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸੁਰਲੋਕ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥

Jaagarhadee Ju`dha Kari Tumala Saagarhadee Surloka Sidhaayo ॥

And fighting bravely left for heven

ਦਾਗੜਦੀ ਦੇਵ ਰਹਸੰਤ ਆਗੜਦੀ ਆਸੁਰਣ ਰਣ ਸੋਗੰ ॥

Daagarhadee Dev Rahasaanta Aagarhadee Aasurn Ran Sogaan ॥

On seeing this the gods were filled with joy and there was anguish in the army of demos

ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸਿੱਧ ਸਰ ਸੰਤ ਨਾਗੜਦੀ ਨਾਚਤ ਤਜਿ ਜੋਗੰ ॥

Saagarhadee Si`dha Sar Saanta Naagarhadee Naachata Taji Jogaan ॥

The Siddhas (adepts) and saints, forsaking their Yoga contemplation, began to dance

ਖੰਖਾਗੜਦੀ ਖਯਾਹ ਭਏ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਖਲ ਪਾਗੜਦੀ ਪੁਹਪ ਡਾਰਤ ਅਮਰ ॥

Khaankhaagarhadee Khyaaha Bhaee Paraapati Khla Paagarhadee Puhapa Daarata Amar ॥

There was destruction of the army of demons and the gods showered flowers,

ਜੰਜਾਗੜਦੀ ਸਕਲ ਜੈ ਜੈ ਜਪੈ ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸੁਰਪੁਰਹਿ ਨਾਰ ਨਰ ॥੩੯੨॥

Jaanjaagarhadee Sakala Jai Jai Japai Saagarhadee Surpurhi Naara Nar ॥392॥

And the males and females of the city of gods hailed the victory.392.

ਰਾਗੜਦੀ ਰਾਵਣਹਿ ਸੁਨਯੋ ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਦੋਊ ਸੁਤ ਰਣ ਜੁੱਝੇ ॥

Raagarhadee Raavanhi Sunayo Saagarhadee Doaoo Suta Ran Ju`jhe ॥

Ravana also heard that both his sons, and many other warriors had died while fighting

ਬਾਗੜਦੀ ਬੀਰ ਬਹੁ ਗਿਰੇ ਆਗੜਦੀ ਆਹਵਹਿ ਅਰੁੱਝੇ ॥

Baagarhadee Beera Bahu Gire Aagarhadee Aahavahi Aru`jhe ॥

The corpses lie scattered in the battlefield and the vultures, while tearing away the flesh, are shrieking

ਲਾਗੜਦੀ ਲੁੱਥ ਬਿੱਥੁਰੀ ਚਾਗੜਦੀ ਚਾਂਵੰਡ ਚਿੰਕਾਰੰ ॥

Laagarhadee Lu`tha Bi`thuree Chaagarhadee Chaanvaanda Chiaankaaraan ॥

The streams of blood have flowed in the battlefield,

ਨਾਗੜਦੀ ਨੱਦ ਭਏ ਗੱਦ ਕਾਗੜਦੀ ਕਾਲੀ ਕਿਲਕਾਰੰ ॥

Naagarhadee Na`da Bhaee Ga`da Kaagarhadee Kaalee Kilakaaraan ॥

And the goddess Kali is raising horrible shots

ਭੰਭਾਗੜਦੀ ਭਯੰਕਰ ਜੁੱਧ ਭਯੋ ਜਾਗੜਦੀ ਜੂਹ ਜੁੱਗਣ ਜੁਰੀਅ ॥

Bhaanbhaagarhadee Bhayaankar Ju`dha Bhayo Jaagarhadee Jooha Ju`gan Jureea ॥

There has been a frightening war and the Yoginis, having gathered for drinking blood,

ਕੰਕਾਗੜਦੀ ਕਿਲੱਕਤ ਕੁਹਰ ਕਰ ਪਾਗੜਦੀ ਪੱਤ੍ਰ ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤ ਭਰੀਅ ॥੩੯੩॥

Kaankaagarhadee Kila`kata Kuhar Kar Paagarhadee Pa`tar Saronata Bhareea ॥393॥

And having filled their bowls, they are shrieking violently.393.
