ਆਸਾਵਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥
ਮਾਈ ਮੋਰੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਰਾਮੁ ਬਤਾਵਹੁ ਰੀ ਮਾਈ ॥
ਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਪਲੁ ਰਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਉ ਜੈਸੇ ਕਰਹਲੁ ਬੇਲਿ ਰੀਝਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹਮਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਬੈਰਾਗ ਬਿਰਕਤੁ ਭਇਓ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨ ਮੀਤ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ ॥
ਜੈਸੇ ਅਲਿ ਕਮਲਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਰਹਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਤੈਸੇ ਮੋਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਰਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
ਰਾਖੁ ਸਰਣਿ ਜਗਦੀਸੁਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਰਧਾ ਪੂਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਿਮਖ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥੨॥੩੯॥੧੩॥੧੫॥੬੭॥

Aasaavaree, Fourth Mehl:
O mother, my mother, tell me about my Beloved Lord.
Without the Lord, I cannot live for a moment, even an instant; I love Him, like the camel loves the vine. ||1||Pause||
My mind has become sad and distant, longing for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, my Friend.
As the bumblebee cannot live without the lotus, I cannot live without the Lord. ||1||
Keep me under Your Protection, O Beloved Master of the Universe; fulfill my faith, O Lord of the World.
Servant Nanak's mind is filled with bliss, when he beholds the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, even for an instant. ||2||39||13||15||67||

nullnullਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਰਾਮ (ਕਿਥੇ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਇਉਂ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਊਂਠ ਦਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਵੇਲਾਂ ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਹਰੀ (ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਭੀ, ਇਕ ਪਲ ਭੀ (ਸੁਖੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥null(ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਮਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਉਤਾਵਲਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਉਪਰਾਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਭੌਰਾ ਕੌਲ-ਫੁੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥nullਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖ, ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ। (ਜਦੋਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ) ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਉ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ) ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੇਹ ॥੨॥੩੯॥੧੩॥੧੫॥੬੭॥
