ਨਿਜ ਭਗਤੀ ਸੀਲਵੰਤੀ ਨਾਰਿ ॥
ਰੂਪਿ ਅਨੂਪ ਪੂਰੀ ਆਚਾਰਿ ॥
ਜਿਤੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਵਸੈ ਸੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤਾ ॥
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਈ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਜੰਤਾ ॥੧॥
ਸੁਕਰਣੀ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਮ ਪਾਈ ॥
ਜਜਿ ਕਾਜਿ ਪਰਥਾਇ ਸੁਹਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਿਚਰੁ ਵਸੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੈ ਸਾਥਿ ॥
ਤਿਚਰੁ ਕੰਤੁ ਬਹੁ ਫਿਰੈ ਉਦਾਸਿ ॥
ਕਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਤ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਨਾਇਆ ॥
ਗੁਰਿ ਆਣੀ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਤਾ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
ਬਤੀਹ ਸੁਲਖਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਸੰਤਤਿ ਪੂਤ ॥
ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਸੁਘੜ ਸਰੂਪ ॥
ਇਛ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਨ ਕੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
ਸਗਲ ਸੰਤੋਖੀ ਦੇਰ ਜੇਠਾਨੀ ॥੩॥
ਸਭ ਪਰਵਾਰੈ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਰੇਸਟ ॥
ਮਤੀ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵਰ ਜੇਸਟ ॥
ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੀ ਆਇ ॥
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੇ ਸੁਖਿ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥੪॥੩॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:
The bride shows such special devotion, and has such an agreeable disposition.
Her beauty is incomparable, and her character is perfect.
The house in which she dwells is such a praiseworthy house.
But rare are those who, as Gurmukh, attain that state||1||
As the soul-bride of pure actions, I have met with the Guru.
In worship, marriage and in the next world, such a soul-bride looks beautiful. ||1||Pause||
As long as she lived with her father,
Her Husband wandered around in sadness.
I served and surrendered to the Lord, the True Being;
The Guru brought my bride to my home, and I obtained total happiness. ||2||
She is blessed with all sublime attributes,
And her generations are unblemished.
Her Husband, her Lord and Master, fulfills her heart's desires.
Hope and desire (my younger brother-in-law and sister-in-law) are now totally content. ||3||
She is the most noble of all the family.
She counsels and advises her hope and desire.
How blessed is that household, in which she has appeared.
O servant Nanak, she passes her time in perfect peace and comfort. ||4||3||

nullnullnullnullਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ) ਭਗਤੀ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਮਿੱਠੇ ਸੁਭਾਵ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਹੈ (ਜੋ) ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਮਿਸਾਲ ਹੈ (ਜੋ) ਆਚਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ (ਹਿਰਦੇ-) ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਇਹ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਘਰ ਸੋਭਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਜੀਵ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ (ਇਹ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਣੀ (-ਰੂਪ) ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜੀ ਵਿਆਹ ਸ਼ਾਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥nullnullnull(ਇਹ ਭਗਤੀ-ਰੂਪ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਜਿਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਜੀਵ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਨੇ) ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-) ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆ ਬਿਠਾਈ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਏ ॥੨॥nullnullnull(ਇਹ ਭਗਤੀ-ਰੂਪ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਇਆ, ਨਿਮ੍ਰਤਾ, ਲੱਜਾ ਆਦਿਕ) ਬੱਤੀ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲੱਛਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਹੈ, ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਨ, (ਇਹ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਆਗਿਆ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਹੈ, ਸੋਹਣੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਜੀਵ-ਕੰਤ ਖਸਮ ਦੀ (ਹਰੇਕ) ਇੱਛਾ ਇਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਦਿਰਾਣੀ ਜਿਠਾਣੀ (ਆਸਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ) ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੩॥nullnullnull(ਮਿੱਠਾ ਬੋਲ, ਨਿਮ੍ਰਤਾ, ਸੇਵਾ, ਦਾਨ, ਦਇਆ) ਸਾਰੇ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਪਰਵਾਰ ਵਿਚ (ਭਗਤੀ) ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਉਰਾਂ ਜੇਠਾਂ (ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਮੱਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ (ਚੰਗੇ ਰਾਹੇ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ)। ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਉਹ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਘਰ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਇਹ ਭਗਤੀ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਆ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ) ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਬੀਤਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥
