ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਖਰ ਦੁਇ ਇਹ ਮਾਲਾ ॥
ਜਪਤ ਜਪਤ ਭਏ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥੧॥
ਕਰਉ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੀ ॥
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਦੇਹੁ ਹਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਮਾਲਾ ਉਰ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਧਾਰੈ ॥
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕਾ ਦੂਖੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ॥੨॥
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਮਾਲੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲੈ ॥
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਇਤ ਉਤ ਕਤਹਿ ਨ ਡੋਲੈ ॥੩॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਰਾਚੈ ਨਾਇ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਮਾਲਾ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੪॥੧੯॥੭੦॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:
These two words, Har, Har, make up my maalaa.
Continually chanting and reciting this rosary, God has become merciful to me, His humble servant. ||1||
I offer my prayer to the True Guru.
Shower Your Mercy upon me, and keep me safe in Your Sanctuary; please, give me the maalaa, the rosary of Har, Har. ||1||Pause||
One who enshrines this rosary of the Lord's Name within his heart,
Is freed of the pains of birth and death. ||2||
The humble being who contemplates the Lord within his heart, and chants the Lord's Name, Har, Har, with his mouth,
Never wavers, here or hereafter. ||3||
Says Nanak, one who is imbued with the Name,
Goes to the next world with the maalaa of the Lord's Name. ||4||19||70||

nullnull(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਤਾਂ) 'ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ'-ਇਹ ਦੋ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਮਾਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ ਕੰਗਾਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥nullਹੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਹ ਅਰਜ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ 'ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ' ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਦੇਹ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥nullਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥nullਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਂਭ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਿ-ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨਾਹ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ (ਕਿਸੇ ਗੱਲੇ ਭੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਡੋਲਦਾ ॥੩॥nullਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ (ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ) ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧੯॥੭੦॥
