ਗਾਵਿ ਲੇਹਿ ਤੂ ਗਾਵਨਹਾਰੇ ॥
ਜੀਅ ਪਿੰਡ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰੇ ॥
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥
ਅਵਰ ਕਾਹੂ ਪਹਿ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਜਾਵਹਿ ॥੧॥
ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਅਨੰਦੀ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਗੁਨ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਜਾਪੀਐ ॥
ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਸੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਾਸੀਐ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਾ ਕਾ ਦਾਨੁ ਨਿਖੂਟੈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
ਭਲੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਸਭ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਬਖਸ ਨ ਮੇਟੈ ਕੋਈ ॥
ਮਨਿ ਵਾਸਾਈਐ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਈ ॥੨॥
ਸਗਲ ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਪੂਰਨ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੂਖ ਨ ਝੂਰਨ ॥
ਓਟਿ ਗਹੀ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸੋ ਗੁਨ ਨਿਧਿ ਗਾਈਐ ॥੩॥
ਦੂਰਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ਕਤਹੂ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਕਰੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਪਾਸਿ ॥
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੰਗੈ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਰਾਸਿ ॥੪॥੫॥੯੯॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:
O singer, sing of the One,
Who is the Support of the soul, the body and the breath of life.
Serving Him, all peace is obtained.
You shall no longer go to any other. ||1||
My Blissful Lord Master is forever in bliss; meditate continually and forever, on the Lord, the treasure of excellence.
I am a sacrifice to the Beloved Saints; by their kind favor, God comes to dwell in the mind. ||Pause||
His gifts are never exhausted.
In His subtle way, He easily absorbs all.
His benevolence cannot be erased.
So enshrine that True Lord within your mind. ||2||
His house is filled with all sorts of articles;
God's servants never suffer pain.
Holding to His Support, the state of fearless dignity is obtained.
With each and every breath, sing of the Lord, the treasure of excellence. ||3||
He is not far from us, wherever we go.
When He shows His Mercy, we obtain the Lord, Har, Har.
I offer this prayer to the Perfect Guru.
Nanak begs for the treasure of the Lord's Name. ||4||5||99||

nullnullnullnullਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਦ ਤਕ ਗਾਵਣ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੁ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਏਂਗਾ (ਤੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਵਿਚ) ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਏਗੀ ॥੧॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ) ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਸ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਰਹਾਉ॥nullnullnullਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਦੇ ਮੁੱਕਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਰੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ (ਤੇ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ) ਸਾਰੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥nullnullnullਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਭਰੇ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਕੋਈ ਝੋਰੇ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ ਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆਂ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਦਰਜਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਦਬਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੩॥nullnullnullਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਥੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ, ਕਿਤੇ (ਦੂਰ) ਲੱਭਣ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਰੇ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੋਲ ਹੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਤੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ-ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਰਮਾਇਆ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੫॥੯੯॥
