ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਅੰਤਰੁ ਮਲਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਨਾ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭੇਖ ਉਦਾਸੀ ॥
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਕਮਲੁ ਘਟਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਕਾਹੇ ਭਇਆ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ॥੧॥
ਭਰਮੇ ਭੂਲੀ ਰੇ ਜੈ ਚੰਦਾ ॥
ਨਹੀ ਨਹੀ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿਆ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਖਾਇਆ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਬਧਾਇਆ ਖਿੰਥਾ ਮੁੰਦਾ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
ਭੂਮਿ ਮਸਾਣ ਕੀ ਭਸਮ ਲਗਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
ਕਾਇ ਜਪਹੁ ਰੇ ਕਾਇ ਤਪਹੁ ਰੇ ਕਾਇ ਬਿਲੋਵਹੁ ਪਾਣੀ ॥
ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਉਪਾਈ ਸੋ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੩॥
ਕਾਇ ਕਮੰਡਲੁ ਕਾਪੜੀਆ ਰੇ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਕਾਇ ਫਿਰਾਹੀ ॥
ਬਦਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨੁ ਸੁਨੁ ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਕਣ ਬਿਨੁ ਗਾਹੁ ਕਿ ਪਾਹੀ ॥੪॥੧॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
You have not cleansed the filth from within yourself, although outwardly, you wear the dress of a renunciate.
In the heart-lotus of your self, you have not recognized God - why have you become a Sannyaasee? ||1||
Deluded by doubt, O Jai Chand,
You have not realized the Lord, the embodiment of supreme bliss. ||1||Pause||
You eat in each and every house, fattening your body; you wear the patched coat and the ear-rings of the beggar, for the sake of wealth.
You apply the ashes of cremation to your body, but without a Guru, you have not found the essence of reality. ||2||
Why bother to chant your spells? Why bother to practice austerities? Why bother to churn water?
Meditate on the Lord of Nirvaanaa, who has created the 8.4 million species of beings. ||3||
Why bother to carry the water-pot, O saffron-robed Yogi? Why bother to visit the sixty-eight holy places of pilgrimage?
Says Trilochan, listen, mortal: you have no corn - what are you trying to thresh? ||4||1||

ਰਾਗ ਗੂਜਰੀ, ਘਰ ੧ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ।ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।nullਜੇ (ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਅੰਦਰਲਾ ਮਲੀਨ (ਮਨ) ਸਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਪਰ ਬਾਹਰ (ਸਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ) ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਰੂਪ ਕਉਲ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰਖਿਆ, ਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੧॥nullਹੇ ਜੈ ਚੰਦ! ਸਾਰੀ ਲੋਕਾਈ (ਇਸੇ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ) ਭੁੱਲੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਨਿਰਾ ਫ਼ਕੀਰੀ ਭੇਖ ਧਾਰਿਆਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੋਝੀ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥null(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਘਰ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ (ਮੰਗ ਕੇ ਟੁੱਕਰ) ਖਾ ਲਿਆ, (ਆਪਣੇ) ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਪਾਲ ਲਿਆ, ਗੋਦੜੀ ਪਹਿਨ ਲਈ, ਮੁੰਦ੍ਰਾਂ ਭੀ ਪਾ ਲਈਆਂ, (ਪਰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਹੀ (ਕੀਤਾ), ਮਸਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਸੁਆਹ ਭੀ (ਪਿੰਡੇ) ਮਲ ਲਈ, ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੱਤ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ॥੨॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਕਿਉਂ (ਗਿਣੇ ਮਿਥੇ) ਜਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ? ਕਿਉਂ ਤਪ ਸਾਧਦੇ ਹੋ? ਕਾਹਦੇ ਲਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਰਿੜਕਦੇ ਹੋ? (ਹਠ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਹ ਸਾਧਨ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਰਿੜਕਣ ਸਮਾਨ ਹਨ); ਉਸ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ-ਰਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਯਾਦ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਚੌਰਾਸੀ ਲੱਖ (ਜੋਨਿ ਵਾਲੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ) ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥nullਹੇ ਕਾਪੜੀਏ! (ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ) ਖੱਪਰ ਫੜਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਠਾਹਠ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਭਟਕਣ ਦਾ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ। ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਸੁਣ; ਜੇ (ਭਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ) ਅੰਨ ਦੇ ਦਾਣੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤਾਂ ਗਾਹ ਪਾਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੪॥੧॥
