The Formless One who resided in His own self did not make anybody see His imperceptible form.

ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਇ ਕੈ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਧਰਾਇਆ।

Aapay Aapi Upaai Kai Aapay Apanaa Naau Dharaaiaa |

Himself He created all and Himself He (for the weal of creatures) established His name in their hearts.

ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਆਦੇਸੁ ਹੈ ਹੈ ਭੀ ਹੋਸੀ ਹੋਂਦਾ ਆਇਆ।

Aadi Purakhu Aadaysu Hai Hai Bhee Hosee Hondaa Aaiaa |

I bow before that primal Lord, who is there in the present, who will remain in the future and who was in the beginning as well.

ਆਦਿ ਨ ਅੰਤੁ ਬਿਅੰਤੁ ਹੈ ਆਪ ਆਪਿ ਨ ਆਪੁ ਗਣਾਇਆ।

Aadi N Antu Biantu Hai Aapay Aapi N Aapu Ganaaiaa |

He is beyond beginning, beyond end and is infinite; but He never makes Himself noticed.

ਆਪੇ ਆਪੁ ਉਪਾਇ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੭॥

Aapay Aapu Upaai Samaaiaa ||7 ||

He created the world and Himself subsumes it in His self.
