ਖਾਵਾਲੇ ਸੋ ਖਾਣੁ ਪੀਐ ਪੀਆਇਆ।

Khaavaalay So Khaanu Peeai Peeaaiaa |

He eats and drinks what is bestowed by the Lord.

ਕਰੈ ਨ ਗਰਬੁ ਗੁਮਾਣੁ ਹਸੈ ਹਸਾਇਆ।

Karai N Garabu Gumaanu Hasai Hasaaiaa |

Gurmukh is not arrogant and feels happy in the happiness given by the Lord.

ਪਾਹੁਨੜਾ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਕਾਜੁ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ।

Paahunarhaa Pravaanu Kaaju Suhaaiaa |

Only that guest gets accepted in the court of the Lord who has lived here as a good guest.

ਮਜਲਸ ਕਰਿ ਹੈਰਾਣੁ ਉਠਿ ਸਿਧਾਇਆ ॥੩॥

Majalas Kari Hairaanu Uthhi Sidhaaiaa ||3 ||

He moves from here silently and makes the whole assembly wonders struck (because others feel very difficult to leave this world).
