ਆਵਤ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਚੰਡਿ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਕੋ ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤਬਿੰਦ ਮਹਾ ਹਰਖਿਓ ਹੈ ॥

Aavata Dekh Ke Chaandi Parchaanda Ko Saronatabiaanda Mahaa Harkhiao Hai ॥

Raktavija was very much pleased on seeing powerful Chandi coming.,

ਆਗੇ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਧਸੈ ਰਨ ਮਧਿ ਸੁ ਕ੍ਰੁਧ ਕੇ ਜੁਧਹਿ ਕੋ ਸਰਖਿਓ ਹੈ ॥

Aage Havai Sataru Dhasai Ran Madhi Su Karudha Ke Judhahi Ko Sarkhiao Hai ॥

He moved forward and penetrated into the forces of the enemy and in anger moved further for his demeanour.,

ਲੈ ਉਮਡਿਓ ਦਲੁ ਬਾਦਲੁ ਸੋ ਕਵਿ ਨੈ ਜਸੁ ਇਆ ਛਬਿ ਕੋ ਪਰਖਿਓ ਹੈ ॥

Beeran Ke Kar Te Chhutti Teera Sreeran Cheera Ke Paari Paraane ॥

ਤੋਰ ਸਰਾਸਨ ਫੋਰ ਕੈ ਕਉਚਨ ਮੀਨਨ ਕੇ ਰਿਪੁ ਜਿਉ ਥਹਰਾਨੇ ॥

Tora Saraasan Phora Kai Kauchan Meenan Ke Ripu Jiau Thaharaane ॥

Ghaau Lage Tan Chaandi Aneka Su Saruna Chaliao Bahi Kai Sartaane ॥

ਮਾਨਹੁ ਫਾਰਿ ਪਹਾਰ ਹੂੰ ਕੋ ਸੁਤ ਤਛਕ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਸੇ ਕਰ ਬਾਨੇ ॥੧੩੧॥

Maanhu Phaari Pahaara Hooaan Ko Suta Tachhaka Ke Nikase Kar Baane ॥131॥

ਬੀਰਨ ਕੇ ਕਰ ਤੇ ਛੁਟਿ ਤੀਰ ਸੁ ਚੰਡਿਕਾ ਸਿੰਘਨ ਜਿਉ ਭਭਕਾਰੀ ॥

Beeran Ke Kar Te Chhutti Teera Su Chaandikaa Siaanghan Jiau Bhabhakaaree ॥

When the arrows were shot by the hands of the warriors, Chadika roared like a lioness.,

ਲੈ ਕਰਿ ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਗਦਾ ਗਹਿ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਛੁਰੀ ਅਉ ਕਟਾਰੀ ॥

Lai Kari Baan Kamaan Kripaan Gadaa Gahi Chakar Chhuree Aau Kattaaree ॥

ਕਾਟ ਕੈ ਦਾਮਨ ਛੇਦ ਕੈ ਭੇਦ ਕੈ ਸਿੰਧੁਰ ਕੀ ਕਰੀ ਭਿੰਨ ਅੰਬਾਰੀ ॥

Kaatta Kai Daamn Chheda Kai Bheda Kai Siaandhur Kee Karee Bhiaann Aanbaaree ॥

She destroyed the canopies, separated the palanquins from the elephants.,

ਮਾਨਹੁ ਆਗ ਲਗਾਇ ਹਨੂ ਗੜ ਲੰਕ ਅਵਾਸ ਕੀ ਡਾਰੀ ਅਟਾਰੀ ॥੧੩੨॥

Maanhu Aaga Lagaaei Hanoo Garha Laanka Avaasa Kee Daaree Attaaree ॥132॥

ਤੋਰ ਕੈ ਮੋਰ ਕੈ ਦੈਤਨ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਘੋਰ ਕੇ ਚੰਡਿ ਮਹਾ ਅਸਿ ਲੀਨੋ ॥

Tora Kai Mora Kai Daitan Ke Mukh Ghora Ke Chaandi Mahaa Asi Leeno ॥

Chandi, taking her superb sword, twisted the faces of the demons with her blows.,

ਜੋਰ ਕੈ ਕੋਰ ਕੈ ਠੋਰ ਕੈ ਬੀਰ ਸੁ ਰਾਛਸ ਕੋ ਹਤਿ ਕੈ ਤਿਹ ਦੀਨੋ ॥

Jora Kai Kora Kai Tthora Kai Beera Su Raachhasa Ko Hati Kai Tih Deeno ॥

She destroyed those demons, who had obstructed her advance with their strength, being arrayed in rows.,

ਖੋਰ ਕੈ ਤੋਰ ਕੈ ਬੋਰ ਕੈ ਦਾਨਵ ਲੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕਰੇ ਹਾਡ ਚਬੀਨੋ ॥

Khora Kai Tora Kai Bora Kai Daanva Lai Tin Ke Kare Haada Chabeeno ॥

Eroding the demons by creating fear, she ultimately crushed their bones.,

ਸ੍ਰਉਣ ਕੋ ਪਾਨ ਕਰਿਓ ਜਿਉ ਦਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਕੋ ਜਲ ਜਿਉ ਰਿਖਿ ਪੀਨੋ ॥੧੩੩॥

Saruna Ko Paan Kariao Jiau Davaa Hari Saagar Ko Jala Jiau Rikhi Peeno ॥133॥

She drank the blood as Krishna quaffed fire and the sage agastya drank the water of ocean.133.,

ਚੰਡਿ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਕੁਵੰਡ ਕਰੰ ਗਹਿ ਜੁਧ ਕਰਿਓ ਨ ਗਨੇ ਭਟ ਆਨੇ ॥

Chaandi Parchaanda Kuvaanda Karaan Gahi Judha Kariao Na Gane Bhatta Aane ॥

Chandi began the war very swiftly holding the bow in her hand, she killed the unaccountable number of demons.

ਮਾਰਿ ਦਈ ਸਭ ਦੈਤ ਚਮੂੰ ਤਿਹ ਸ੍ਰਉਣਤ ਜੰਬੁਕ ਗ੍ਰਿਝ ਅਘਾਨੇ ॥

Maari Daeee Sabha Daita Chamooaan Tih Sarunata Jaanbuka Grijha Aghaane ॥

She killed all the army of the demon Raktavija and with their blood, the jackals and vultures satisfied their hunger.,

ਭਾਲ ਭਇਆਨਕ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਕੋ ਦਾਨਵ ਇਉ ਰਨ ਛਾਡਿ ਪਰਾਨੇ ॥

Bhaala Bhaeiaanka Dekhi Bhavaanee Ko Daanva Eiau Ran Chhaadi Paraane ॥

Seeing the dreadful face of the goddess, the demons ran away from the field like this.,

ਪਉਨ ਕੇ ਗਉਨ ਕੇ ਤੇਜ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਤੇ ਪੀਪਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਉ ਪਾਤ ਉਡਾਨੇ ॥੧੩੪॥

Pauna Ke Gauna Ke Teja Partaapa Te Peepar Ke Jiau Paata Audaane ॥134॥

Just as with the blowing of swift and forceful wind, the leaves of the fig tree (peepal) fly away.134.,

ਆਹਵ ਮੈ ਖਿਝ ਕੈ ਬਰ ਚੰਡ ਕਰੰ ਧਰ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਪੈ ਅਰਿ ਮਾਰੇ ॥

Aahava Mai Khijha Kai Bar Chaanda Karaan Dhar Kai Hari Pai Ari Maare ॥

With great the mighty Chandika, holding the sword in her hand, destroyed the horses and the enemies.,

ਏਕਨ ਤੀਰਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਗਦਾ ਹਤਿ ਏਕਨ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਕੇਹਰਿ ਫਾਰੇ ॥

Eekan Teeran Chakar Gadaa Hati Eekan Ke Tan Kehari Phaare ॥

ਹੈ ਦਲ ਗੈ ਦਲ ਪੈਦਲ ਘਾਇ ਕੈ ਮਾਰ ਰਥੀ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਕਰ ਡਾਰੇ ॥

Hai Dala Gai Dala Paidala Ghaaei Kai Maara Rathee Brithee Kar Daare ॥

She killed the forces on horses, elephants and on foot and wounding those on chariots hath rendered them without chariots.,

ਸਿੰਧੁਰ ਐਸੇ ਪਰੇ ਤਿਹ ਠਉਰ ਜਿਉ ਭੂਮ ਮੈ ਝੂਮਿ ਗਿਰੇ ਗਿਰ ਭਾਰੇ ॥੧੩੫॥

Siaandhur Aaise Pare Tih Tthaur Jiau Bhooma Mai Jhoomi Gire Gri Bhaare ॥135॥
