ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਝੀ ਹੋਈ ॥
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਸੋਈ ॥੧॥
ਮੈ ਸਹੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥
ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਇਸੁ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਜਮ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਧ ਗਵਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜਨੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੈ ਬੂਝੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਈ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਭਾਣੈ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੩॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਤਿ ਊਤਮ ਹੋਈ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਈ ॥੪॥੩੯॥੧੩॥੫੨॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will one meets the True Guru and true understanding is obtained.
By Guru's Grace, the Lord abides in the mind, and one comes to understand the Lord. ||1||
My Husband Lord, the Great Giver, is One. There is no other at all.
By Guru's merciful favor, He abides in the mind, and then, a lasting peace ensues. ||1||Pause||
In this age, the Lord's Name is fearless; it is obtained by meditative reflection upon the Guru.
Without the Name, the blind, foolish, self-willed manmukh is under Death's power. ||2||
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, the humble being performs His service, and understands the True Lord.
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, He is to be praised; surrendering to His Will, peace ensues. ||3||
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, the prize of this human birth is obtained, and the intellect is exalted.
O Nanak, praise the Naam, the Name of the Lord; as Gurmukh, you shall be emancipated. ||4||39||13||52||

ਰਾਗ ਆਸਾ, ਘਰ ੮ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ 'ਕਾਫੀ'।ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਜੁਗਤਿ ਦੀ) ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਖਸਮ-ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ) ਤਦੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਜਗਤ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥nullਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥null(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਵਧੀਆ ਬਣ ਗਈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩੯॥੧੩॥੫੨॥
